Pediatric intensive care unit nurses have three main duties: monitoring patients, providing appropriate care and informing patients and their families on the status of procedures. Nurses are trained to perform life-saving, invasive interventions to stabilize patients and apply crisis management techniques
Graduate of an accredited RN program with an Associates or higher degree of Nursing
Current RN license or (compact license), in good standing with the State licensing board for the state of job assignment
Minimum of one (1) year PICU nurse experience
Valid and current BLS, PALS through the American Heart Association and some facilities may require NRP which is always preferred

2 Step TB, TSPOT, Quantiferon Gold (or documentation of 2 TB screenings within current year)
Immunization Records (MMR, HEP B, Tdap, Influenza and Varicella vaccinations or positive titers)
