Description Postpartum nurses provide important physical and emotional care and recovery for both the new mom and the newborn baby following a delivery. They are trained to educate the new mother and watch for signs of postpartum depression, and may work in tandem with a lactation consultant to assist with breastfeeding
Requirement

• Graduate of an accredited RN program with an Associates or higher degree of Nursing
• Current RN license or (compact license), in good standing with the State licensing board for the state of job assignment
• Minimum of one (1) year Postpartum nurse experience
• Valid and current BLS through the American Heart Association and some facilities may require ACLS which is always preferred
