Cardiovascular operating room nurses are valuable members of the surgical services and operating room teams. CVOR nurses care for cardiovascular patients before, during and following surgical procedures by administering medications, monitoring vital signs and participates in the sedation of patients and assists physicians during the procedure by administering medications, monitoring vital signs and applying dressings
Graduate of an accredited RN program with an Associates or higher degree of Nursing
Current RN license or (compact license), in good standing with the State licensing board for the state of job assignment
Minimum of one (1) year CVOR nurse experience
Valid and current BLS, ACLS through the American Heart Association and some facilities may require PALS which is always preferred

2 Step TB, TSPOT, Quantiferon Gold (or documentation of 2 TB screenings within current year)
Immunization Records (MMR, HEP B, Tdap, Influenza and Varicella vaccinations or positive titers)
