Oncology nurses care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients. They administer chemotherapy, implement new methods of symptom treatment and monitor their patients progress. Oncology nurses also create a supportive environment
Graduate of an accredited RN program with an Associates or higher degree of Nursing
Current RN license or (compact license), in good standing with the State licensing board for the state of job assignment
Minimum of one (1) year Oncology nurse experience
Valid and current BLS through the American Heart Association and some facilities may require ACLS, CHEMO certification, OCN which is always preferred

2 Step TB, TSPOT, Quantiferon Gold (or documentation of 2 TB screenings within current year)
Immunization Records (MMR, HEP B, Tdap, Influenza and Varicella vaccinations or positive titers)
