An ambulatory care nurse is a nursing professional that treats patients that seek routine medical care for acute and chronic illnesses as well as injuries, usually outside of a hospital setting. As an ambulatory care nurse, you will most likely find yourself working with individuals on an outpatient basis only
Graduate of an accredited RN program with an Associates or higher degree of Nursing
Current RN license or (compact license), in good standing with the State licensing board for the state of job assignment
Minimum of one (1) year Ambulatory nurse experience
Valid and current BLS, ACLS, PALS through the American Heart Association and some facilities may require TNCC, NIHSS which is always preferred

2 Step TB, TSPOT, Quantiferon Gold (or documentation of 2 TB screenings within current year)
Immunization Records (MMR, HEP B, Tdap, Influenza and Varicella vaccinations or positive titers)
